Always remember to measure the area that you will hang your verticals and mark them carefully with pencil before doing any drilling. The key to take note is to ensure that you have even spacing between the brackets to prevent the verticals from ending up lop sided. Make allowance when marking and leave some space for the railings. The height should be well measured to not over extend on the floor. Note that if you will be laying carpet, factor in the the thickness of the carpet as well.
You can now fit the brackets onto the wall and lock them in place with the screws provided. If your wall is hard concrete, carefully use your power drill. Note here that if the wall is wood, simply use a screwdriver will do. With the power drill, you will spoil the wood. Simply place the railing and attached verticals onto the brackets and you are done installing your vertical window blinds and shades.
