When most people buy cars, they can sometimes buy them brand new, straight from a dealership. They might even buy a second a car from the same dealership or from somewhere else.

Upgrade

If you have bought the car brand new from a dealership, then you probably already know that you can change some features before the car has even been made. If you choose to upgrade the features, then you will pay a premium price. There is no getting around this unless you barter with the dealer and get some money knocked off the overall price of the car. Cosmetics

You can change some of the cosmetics on the inside of the vehicle. This is by far the cheaper option and you can change anything that you want.

If you have a larger budget, then you could have TVs installed in the headrests of the seats and you could change some of the lighting features underneath the car. You will have to check the law in your country or state before you do that one though.

The body of the car

You can change the overall look of the car by changing some of the features on the body. You could add spoilers, or make the car look sportier with a new bumper or side fittings. Again, here you could change the size of the wheels, or wheel trims.

You could even pay to have the car painted a different colour or put racing stripes on the car. If you are a bit girlie, then you could have flower stickers put on the car.

Engine

If you want to change car performance, then you should think about having the car remapping. This is where a mechanic will alter the computer chip in the car to make the car run more efficiently and boosts car performance. This will make you feel like you have a whole new car without actually buying the new car.

You will have to find a good mechanic to do this for you; it is not recommended that you do the remapping yourself. A good garage will cover a number of makes and models.
